So I have several peripheral devices and when I plug them in iPhoto always launches.

I personally hate iPhoto and could do without it. Can I delete it without something else being affected in my system?

I will obviously be backing up all the photos I put on there when I first got this mac.

Thank you!

Yeah of course you can. I have deleted most of iLife.

Beautiful. Thank you!

I have a question about Ram, in most forums I go on it's pretty okay to ask away in this. Is that acceptable here or should I start a new thread?

RAM Questions...

Alright, Stats:
1.2 GHz P.PC G4
256mb ram
Questions:
I have 2 different 512mb ram modules one is a Samsung the other I have no idea what it is (the logo on it kind of looks like a crop circle!) both of them say the following: 512mb 2Rx16 PC2.

Neither fits under my keyboard where the ram came with my computer is. Sizing seems right, the notch is in the right place, but I just can't push hard enough and obviously I don't want to break anything.. Don't see anything jammed in there.

Eh? Wrong format of RAM?

Thanks!

Instead of deleting iPhoto you could just disable the setting that opens it whenever you plug in your camera. Next time iPhoto loads just go to its Preferences and in the drop down box next to the option that says "Connecting camera opens:" just select "No application"

Couldn't find that option in iPhoto, I will look again though. But I really have no use for it, so it's essentially just taking up HD space.

I have the original iPhone, a camera, and 2 iPods, they all launch iPhoto. Haha
