Difference in revision

What is the difference between revision A and revision B on the white Macbook?

No. I returned my white Macbook today because of a fault.
It was a M4020/A but the store only had M4020/B models in stock and i got one of those as a replacement.

could be any number of things. how old was the old one? maybe a distinction between coreduo and core2duo?

I'm thinking you've got the current white macbook as a replacement then?

i know the current white macbook has a 2.1GHz processor with a DVD drive whereas the old 2.1 white macbook didnt have a DVD drive

They may look identical on the outside, but the inside can be very different. The CPU speed, the amount of RAM, and the HDD.

If its only 7weeks old then it should be exactly the same i guess well actually coe to think about it the current whitebook thats availiable has been revised though because of the new alum macbooks that came out early October and thats only about 3-4 weeks ago so the white macbook is different i think.

I think i've found the answer.

The original Macbook had a cd writer and dvd reader.

This one has a superdrive installed.

Yeah, that was my hypothesis. Good thing you figured it out though.

Yeh. At least in this instance i gained a little extra.

The superdrive can burn single and dual layer DVDs.

ok cool. So I suppose that my last gen MBP can also burn dual layer DVD ... I've just bought 25 single layer blank DVDs

You'll have to check the specs in: about this Mac.
I believe it was the ones built in the last 3 weeks before the new aluminum ones came out that had the superdrive.
