Since I need a new daily use laptop...and the auction ends in ohh...30 minutes...Let's see what you guys think:

Aluminum 15" Powerbook 1.67 GHz 1.5GB RAM. Great condition but has white marks all over the screen. It's currently going for $200.

Give me a yay or nay for this guys...Actually besides slicing my fingers open...I found that doing the hinges on a TiBook isn't really that bad at all so I'm not afraid of replacing the screen on an aluminum. If you guys think I should go for this, what do you think my max bid should be?

Not sure on max bid. Everymac.com still shows $900+ for low end for that model. (15")
Seems like a good deal to me so far though...

You do not have any more fingers to hurt! Get the new one! :D

On a more serious note, it does look like a good deal. I wonder though what those marks are on the screen. You have a url? Send it as a PM if you are worried someone would outbid you. I will not.

You're a good man Dennis! I would give some rep, but it wants me to spread it around first...:D

It looks good. Check your PM. Sometimes marks like that at least with some iBooks came from key caps hitting the screen. I just wish he showed a real live pic of the screen.

WOw, they were waiting in line! $355. What was your high bid?

That has happened to me more than once and I could not afford to go higher. I usually wait till the last 10 seconds and hit bid.

Oh my, the winning bidder has ZERO feedback. Hope the dood gets his $$$!

No, you know what...No...I'm not going to get mad at this...There must've been a reason why I didn't win it...I remember one time I was bidding on a 1.67GHz Alubook and I lost it at the last second to one of my buddies ironically...He had nothing but problems with it...

Yes there is one thing worse than being outbid by a noob....Getting negative feedback by one. ><

Regardless...I have two good logic boards that are 1GHz...I'll just get a 667MHz TiBook with a good screen and swap em out. ;D

That is a good way to look at it so you will not be mad. That screen may have been quite annoying. Oh well, If I see another at a low price I will PM you.

I had a friend just sell his MINT 1.67Ghz 17" with Leopard, 2GB RAM, 160GB 7200 RPM drive, brand new DVD burner and he only got $500. It was mint also.
