Password at login?

Your Mac's Specs
13" MBP - 2.7 Ghz, Intel Core i7, 8GB RAM.
How do I set it so Leopard requires a password upon booting up?

Do you mean for login purposes or a bios password?

System Preferences -> Accounts -> Login Options -> Automatic Login. Set it to disabled and make sure the account(s) have a password on them.
