Do you get any computer publications?

I was wondering how many of you got any sort of publications, doesn't matter if it is about Mac or not.

I'll start. I only get Macworld.

How about y'all? :)

I used to have a subscription to Macworld but it had to go after the "budget talk" that I had with the wife... Ah well, there's still macworld.com!

(Let me preface this by saying I have had free access to various mac magazines through my last two jobs, so that might affect my judgement).

To be honest I don't really see the point any more. The online blogs I read are usually more up to date and most of the magazines offer very little insight.

I mean, how interesting is Macworld's take on the new macbooks a month after they've been released? And all the tips they publish are available online as well, so they only interesting bits left are the tutorials which invariably seem to involve Adobe software I don't use and the editorials - which are good enough, but I get similar content on blogs.

So in short ;), no - I don't bother with magazines.

Ditto as above. More interest personally in trading post style magazines as articles on the new 64 core dowhatsits or whatever not my go either.

I used to get Mac Life about 3 years ago, but gave up on it..

Now I'll buy the odd Layers mag, but that's about it.

I just get Macworld because the subscription came with my iMac.

I would never subscribe to it though. It is just full of ads. ;P

IMO, Maclife has a lot more beef.

The only magazines I find worthwhile are stuff relating to musical instruments, like Guitar World for instance.. With the rate technology advances, reading eZines or blogs is typically better and more accurate/current (for the most part).

Mac Format anyone?

MacLife, MacWorld, and Wired.

Yep. Same for me. New switcher here. Hey does anyone get Mac Format from the UK? Seems to be a good one - comes with CD but is pricey!
