• The Mac-Forums Community Guidelines (linked at the top of every forum) are very clear, we respect US law and court precedence when it comes to legality of activity.

    Therefore to clarify:
    • You may not discuss breaking DVD or BluRay encryption, copying, or "ripping" commercial, copy-protected DVDs.
    • This includes DVDs or BluRays you own. Even if you own the DVD or BluRay, it is still technically illegal under the DMCA to break the encryption. While some may argue otherwise, until the law is rewritten or the US Supreme Court strikes it down, we will adhere to the current intent of the law.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying unprotected movies or homemade DVDs.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying tools in the context that they are used for legal purposes as outlined in this post.

Could someone do me a big favor and just compare/contrast the quality of this video in Opera and then Safari? In Opera it's pixelated and jumpy; in Safari it's pretty clear. I've presented it on the Opera forums, but they all say I'm crazy. I think it's a bug.

For what it's worth, I'm running Opera 9.6 on a 1.83Ghz MB.

Hmm...I've uninstalled/re-installed Opera, Flash, and Java and I'm still getting the same problem: extreme video lag when in full-screen mode (new example: the video here lags like it's on a 56k connection although the audio is fine).

I've even tried older versions of Opera to no avail. Safari and Firefox will both play it fine so I'm certain it's the browser.

Could this somehow be related to my video card (model: GMA 950 64MB)? Not sure how, again, if everything's fine in the other two browsers.

I don't think so, same video card here.

How much memory do you have? Leopard or Tiger?
