upgrade memory

hi i have a macbook pro brought in 2006

i'm wishin 2 upgrade the memory on it. i'm wantin 2 upgrade it 2 the most memory i can get on it. can i put 2x2gb in it?

i know it'll only use 3gb of it. (thats wot i've been told) just makin sure

sorry if i sound thick but i've heard lots of different things from different people.

What do you have in you machine now? If the limit is 2GB, which it looks like it is, buy 2x1GB then will alway you to not only get them cheaper than a 1x2GB but you will also benefit from DDR giving you a little boost.
