Hi there,

This is probably a nooby question, but does Leopard in fact run on a PowerPC based environment?

Thanks,

In short will run on G4/G5 over and above the 867MHz processor entry level, although there are many instances of being installed under that, and suggest minimum of 1GB memory.

It will not work on a G3 however.

Okay, thanks guys, I have a Power Mac G4 1.25Ghz, 2GB DDR PC2700 Ram, 4 80GB HDD's and a DVD-RW Drive.

Is there a special version of Leopard i have to purchase for Power PC? or Will the standard retail Leopard install fine?

Cheers again,

Mike

Standard retail is the version you need and it will run nicely, fast and rock steady. Leopard comes on a single DVD so to make a copy for your own use strictly as a backup, a DL burner is required.
