Connected but not, Please help me.

I have a MacBook Pro running Leopard. I am trying to connect it to my company's wireless network. We use WPA2 enterprise with Leap. My current configuration allows me to pull an IP address but I still can't access anything. I can't ping anything. I am currently setup with 802.1X using LEAP. It authenticates fine and shows it as being connected but its not. IS there something I haven't configured correctly? Any help will due, thanks.

I have a similar problem with a usb modem.
The modem says it's connected but Safari, Mail etc says not.
That's on a new Macbook.
Apple tech support can't help despite them trying.
