Hi there,
I am trying to locally host a unix based program called Pennmush. It for text based role playing games, as well as socializing.
I have it compiled, and installed all that jazz. Its running.
I can access it fine though using the local host.
However when I try to use my external IP, it times out.
OS: 10.4.11
Router: Linksys Wireless WTR54G
Modem: D-Link 2320B
ISP: DSL Extreme
From what I can tell, the modem is in bridge mode so there shouldn't be a stop gap there.
The router has nessicary port (4201) open, as well having Block Anonymous Internet Requests security box uncheck.
The ISP provided firewall, I never used and it says it is turned off, the OS firewall while the application is running is turned off.
I'm lost, I'm not sure what could be the issue.
Any thoughts?
