Using iMac as a monitor for Mac G4

I have a Power Mac G4 running Mac OS X (10.4.11).

I am thinking of buying a new iMac

If I do will I be able to use the iMac as a monitor for the Power Mac so that (during the transition period) I can see my old Applications and Files without having to transfer everything over to the new computer?

You cannot use an iMac as a monitor for another computer.

If you want to transfer your old data to your new computer, simply use the Migration Assistant. It will come up automatically when you first start your new computer, and it will give you step-by-step instructions on what to do.
