Safari update with osx 10.5.5

Hi
I am trying to update my Safari and getting a message that says that I cannot because the new version of Safari requires Mac OS X versions of 10.5.2 or newer. I have 10.5.5 so I don't see that this should be a problem. Any tips?

What version of Safari are you running right now? The latest is 3.1.2.

You can also download the latest Safari and install it directly yourself if you wish.

yeah, that produces the message that i need 10.5.2 or greater, which i have. thanks though.

Safari should be automatically updated when you run Software Update.
