I currenty have a 1.8 ghz PowerPC G5 and am trying to get my second monitor to span. I have a DVI-mini VGA adapter but when I hook it up, the second monitor will only mirror. I have tried using the screen spanning doctor but I can't get it to work. I am currently running OS X leopard. Can anyone help me out with this?

When in System Preferences, Display, you should be able to drag the external monitor apart from the G5 to make the desktop span. If the monitors are shown apart and you still only get a mirror, it may be that G5 can not achieve the correct resolution for the external.
What make\model is the external and what is its native resolution? And does it have a DVI input?
