Hey all - I am so excited to tell you that I am typing you this on my brand new iMac - 20" screen, 2.6 Ghz, 320 GB HDD and 2GB of RAM! I went with the slightly higher clock speed and got more RAM, a bigger HD and $100 off with my student discount. Bonus!

I love it. A few questions - 1.) How do I open windows wmv files? 2.) and any good "must-have" programs?

Let me know - signed a very happy switcher! - John

You can check out flip4mac which is basically a plugin for quicktime to play wmv movies if I understand it correctly. For all my video needs I have VLC media player. It plays pretty much every type of file I have thrown at it and as a very simple interface. its on my must have list for sure

Congrats on the iMac I just purchased a 2.4 20" that I am picking up on tuesday to supplement my macbook!
