3G nano screen problem

I just bought a 3G nano off of Craigslist. The good news is that I spent vey little money. The bad news is that the screen is continually dim. I have gone into the settings and checked the backlight as well as the brightness, but the dimness continues. It is so dim that I can not really see what is on the screen.
I have also reset the ipod a dozen times, to no avail... Any thoughts?

you have been ripped off. Just pray that u didn't pay too much for it. That's why I never buy off of craigslist, ebay, etc. As for the dimming problem, you may be out of luck

yes, 3G=3rd generation it confused me too!! i used to think it meant 3 gigabytes
