ok well to start off im running windows vista with a western digital my book essentials 500gb.

i went over to a friends to download some pics to his comp, being a mac not knowing what i was doing, when i plugged my hard drive in somehow i accidentally reformatted the drive to mac settings. in doing so erasing all information and can no longer access my drive on any of my windows computers.

so i need to know the best way to reformat the drive to fat32, at least im pretty sure thats what they come stock. and is the best setting.

any help would be appreciated.

In Windows XP or Vista just go to the control panel->administrative tools->computer management->Disk Management, it will show up as an unformatted disk, just reformat it to whatever you want.
