Hi all,
I am selling my iMac, which has served as a brilliant design / video editing machine for just under a year. I'm looking at a more portable alternative.
The new macbooks look ideal (more or less the same spec as my current machine), however - they do not have a firewire port, which is important for capturing video.
I wanted to know if a device is available that can capture video via USB from DV. If such a device exists, is it reliable or does it "drop" frames when capturing video?
I would look at a macbook pro, but it's another £400 for a slightly bigger screen and a firewire port (the specs are nearly identical).
