Audio output in VLC...

While comparing VLC audio options in Leopard and Windows XP, I came across something strange...

Leopard...


Windows XP


The same video file when played in OSX and XP.
As you can see from the above images, in Leopard "Audio/Audio Device" is not even available. Is this something to do with the OS or my laptop audio hardware(MacBook 2.16 GHz Intel C2D, 2GB RAM)

I am using Thinkpad R61 for my XP machine.

im a long time windows user that recently joined the apple family and also a long time vlc user, its your system hardware it wont show what it dosent have
