Burning software?

I am new to macs and was wondering what was the best option for burining discs? I used nero on my windows PC but have heard that toast is the one to use for mac is tis still the case or is my info a bit out of date?

Nope, Toast is still where its at. But you can do most of the burning you need to right through the OS itself. The built in features work just fine for most people.

Toast is brilliant (and expensive) but try Burn at this link - Burn - for your basic stuff, as it's free
