Macbook 2.4ghz and Upgraded PowerMac G4 Graphite with 3 160gb hds, 1gb ram, wireless, superdrive
a few months ago i bought a 450mhz powermac G4 as a project. I upgraded this quite heavily putting the ram up to 1gb, a slightly larger psu, 3 X Maxtor 160gb hard drives (although only 128gb show on each), a superdrive, extra usb 2.0 ports and a wireless card. I added lots of software inclunding adobe design pack cs2, toast, word, etc. I also put OSX 10.4.11 on it.

I was wondering if it was worth anything now i have bought a macbook.

i am in the uk so i work in pound sterling.

About $300-350 (USD) sounds right. You could do the pound conversion online or better yet on a dashboard widget!

You would have to include the original software CD's or remove them from the machine and it is still a Gigabit Ethernet worth around the $100 mark on a good day I should think.

You would get more selling it as parts rather than as a whole.

It wouldn't be close to that low! Check Craigslist, better yet, eBay. If parts were sold individually, you might get some money, but you wouldn't get a whole ton considering that all parts are used and people would pay more for the whole assembled product. Put it on eBay with a starting bid of $275 USD. It should go up some from there. It wouldn't hurt!

Maybe. Just saying I have not seen a G4 under 500 mhz go for more than 200$ CDN in over a year, regardless of specifications.

Worth a try though on craigslist. You never know.
