Access A Lost iPod's Killswitch?

I know it's a long shot, but a brand new iPod touch, 16gb, with a case and everything was recently lost, or rather stolen. I was wondering if theres a way to, for example, access apple iPod/iPhone killswitch over wifi, or to locate it using its GPS ( I know that is stalkerish )

any help or tips would be appreciated, thanks! ;D
