ibook 14" heat question

I got a 12" ibook the G4 1.03 i think it says it is, but on the left hand side of it gets hot and the bottom gets pretty warm also when sitting on my lap, and i was thinking of upgrading to a 14" and was wondering if they also get as warm in thoes spots as the 12" and if so does the powerbook's get hot also?

Yes, the 14" also gets hot in those places. The HDD is right where you describe on the 14" model as well.

The heat is not as bothersome as other models that I've had in the past. From what I've seen, those spots are troublesome to most people I've talked to.

I put a largish hard-back book under my iBook when I use it on my lap, but I'd say the heat you're describing is normal...
