• The Mac-Forums Community Guidelines (linked at the top of every forum) are very clear, we respect US law and court precedence when it comes to legality of activity.

    Therefore to clarify:
    • You may not discuss breaking DVD or BluRay encryption, copying, or "ripping" commercial, copy-protected DVDs.
    • This includes DVDs or BluRays you own. Even if you own the DVD or BluRay, it is still technically illegal under the DMCA to break the encryption. While some may argue otherwise, until the law is rewritten or the US Supreme Court strikes it down, we will adhere to the current intent of the law.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying unprotected movies or homemade DVDs.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying tools in the context that they are used for legal purposes as outlined in this post.

OK, in our "wonder years" we had a Dell running Media Center Edition. My wife recorded 2 shows from MCE and then was able to burn them to a DVD.

Well, now a year or so later and much wiser, we have a IMAC.

NOW I need the help

I am unable to figure out how to get the DVD onto her mac so she can use it there. I saw a link for something called iSquint, but no luck there either, not the right permissions or something like that.

We no longer have the PC and really need help

FYI I do have access to a PC MCE but it just opens and plays I do not know what to do with it.

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR ANY HELP you may be able to provide. ALSO, we are still learning on the MAC so any STEP BY STEP (idiot proof) directions would be sooo appreciated!!!!

THANK YOU AGAIN!!!

The fiiles burned to disk are DVR-MS and will only play in a Media Center PC.
