Ichat Continues to Crash Unexpectedly

A few weeks ago my ichat, stopped work. By not working I mean it would load my contact list and soon after close because it frozen and the message saying that the program has unexpectedly closed would pop up. I used Appzapper to remove Ichat, and my Leopard cd to reinstall it, and its still acting the same way.

I removed all ichat files in Library\Preferences and it continues to freeze and then quit if I try click on a contact or if a contact trys to contact me.

Any thoughts?
