Using mail.app at the office

I have question regarding if it is posible to use mail.app at work. At the moment I'm using MS Office 2003 and I work directly from my contacts list which I have a few public contact folders. Would address book sync my public folders and can I use mail.app for my work imap account?

what OS is your work? If its Apple then you should have little problem. More info needed
