I installed it. 
Its really cool. It has tetris and some other games on it. Too bad it wont play AACs and skips on MP3s.
But it really is cool. You can look at photos (in black and white, of course) it doesn't replace the Apple OS, you reboot the iPod and hold down rewind to boot it up. You can record audio using the left earbud (I don't know how this works) and you can brows the contents of the HD. It has a calculator for us math illiterate people.
Its far from perfect, but far from crappy, too.
