Base Model MacBook (White from early 2008)
I have a very simple question. HOW DO YOU SCAN!?! I've heard this application is really good, but it's not so useful if I can't figure out how to scan items into it. Please help!

It uses you macbooks built in camera. There are two ways to activate the scanning window, either click on the camera shaped button on the bottom bar of the library window or go to Window then select Video Camera Barcode Scanner, in the top navigation bar.

When the scanning window is open simply pass the barcode in front of the camera and it will capture it (this can take a few seconds and moving the object around).
