g3 powerbook new battery problems

Hello,

I have recently bought a new battery for my g3 powerbook which states it is definately compatible (not apple though).

Whenever i put it in a cross shows through in the battery icon which i guess means it cannot be recongnised??

I have checked there is enough charge in it and even left it with the power in overnight in case it didn't have enough charge but still nothing...

Also took it out and put it back in a few times as recommended and done a power reset on the button at the back but still nothing!!

Also got a replacement sent which is not working too

Any ideas?

It's possible the charger unit is not doing its job or the battery you purchased and replaced again is not compatible. You might want to try a new charger unit:
