hi everyone,
im just wondering if the new Mac mini would be any good as an incar av system/pc?

could it be connected to a small touch screen incar monitor for playing dvds and selecting music from itunes to play back through your car stereo system.

can it be powered from a 12v car socket or would it need some sort of power converter?

it would be fantastic if this is possible!!

If they can put a xbox or a play station in a car, I guess you can put a Mac mini into a car.

I'll let you know in a couple of weeks, mine is going in either my car or my boat as soon as it arrives.

mac's work with touch screen's?

Well that is where my expertise comes in, the screen I already have has a unix based driver but whether it works with the Mac Mini will be what I'll find out.

I suppose I could try it out on my PowerMac first but it's not something I've explored yet.
