• The Mac-Forums Community Guidelines (linked at the top of every forum) are very clear, we respect US law and court precedence when it comes to legality of activity.

    Therefore to clarify:
    • You may not discuss breaking DVD or BluRay encryption, copying, or "ripping" commercial, copy-protected DVDs.
    • This includes DVDs or BluRays you own. Even if you own the DVD or BluRay, it is still technically illegal under the DMCA to break the encryption. While some may argue otherwise, until the law is rewritten or the US Supreme Court strikes it down, we will adhere to the current intent of the law.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying unprotected movies or homemade DVDs.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying tools in the context that they are used for legal purposes as outlined in this post.

Hi there,

Brand new to the world of MAC.

I have iMOVIE 08 version 7.1.4 and iDVD 08 version 7.0.2.

I recently made a little movie in iMOVIE and created the dvd using iDVD.

However, when I play the dvd on my stereo tv system, the audio channels seem to be mixed up. The audio/dialogue is very low and quiet, while the background music and soundeffects are very loud.

Did I miss a step somewhere along the way? Is there a setting somewhere I need to adjust?

First, it is Mac, not MAC.

The background music is represented by a green background. Click that once to highlight it. Click the speaker button which will bring up a HUD (popup) where you can reduce the volume.

To bring up the clip audio, click on the clip to select it all. Click the speaker button which will bring up a HUD (popup) where you can increase that volume. You may want to do that for each clip.
