I realise that the word "windows" is probably a dirty word around here, but I need some advice none the less.
I have a suite of 30 iMacs and a G4 X-Serve. I would like to integrate the imacs into an AD. This is so that users can use the same login on the Windows and Macs and also get the same file shares.
An enginneer from my local Apple centre came to access wether this was possible and we appear to have fallen at the first hurdle.
He said that because our AD Domain is called "learning.ad.local" that it is not possible. Is it correct that the word "local" causes a problem and is there anything that can be done to get round this problem.
Any advice would be appreciated.
