I've got an Intel Mac with the latest flip4mac and quicktime. When I try to watch streaming media videos they never play. Instead I always get a white movie object and when I push the play button it says "-19160 error" on its status bar. Anyone knows what that means?

Can you tell us a bit more about your Mac? Model? OSX Version? Flip4Mac version?

I searched that error on google and was able to play or view all the streams others were having issues with.

That url plays fine here. I am running on an iMac G5 with 10.5.5 Leopard, Latest Quicktime 7.5.5 and the same Flip4Mac version.

I did some searching on that error and some were saying be sure there is no trace of Windows Media player on your system. Some said to uninstall Flip4Mac and Windows Media Player if it's there and then reinstall Flip4Mac and the error went away.

I am firing up my Intel Mac and will try that URL there just in case it's something to do with a bug on only Intel versions of the software. Will get back to you.

EDIT: On my modded Intel Mini with a C2D 2.16Ghz CPU. Latest 10.5.5, Latest Quicktime and same version of Flip4Mac and it plays fine. White screen for maybe 5 seconds then black then the video plays. Check for any version of WMP on your system like I said above.

Let us know what happens.

I'm using Tiger 10.4.11. Tried removing windows media player / flip4mac and reinstalling flip4mac but that didn't work. I'm now updating quicktime to 7.5.5. Will let you know if that helps.

I have an older G4 Powermac with 10.4.11. Booting that up as I type this. Will also get back to you.

Deleted Windows Mediaplayer/Flip4Mac
Reinstalled Flip4Mac
Updated Quicktime to 7.5
Updated Safari
Still the same result (on G4 Powermac with 10.4.11)

I was thinking it could be a firewall matter (I'm using the mac at the office), but on Windows machines at the office the video plays fine.

I wonder if it's an issue with a plist file connected with Flip4Mac? Just a guess. As you can see in the pic I posted it's working great with 10.4.11 and a PowerMac G4.

Also I am not sure if this makes any difference but I do have Perian 1.1 installed along with Flip4Mac.

Perian didn't help. I also tried it on another G4 mac here. Which recently had a fresh install (still 10.4.11 though). Had to install Flip4Mac cause that wasn't on it yet. In fact Safari needed a plugin so it said.
But the result is the same.

That is very strange especially since the video works on a PC. What are basic specs on those Power Mac G4? You also have an Intel Mac there that does this?

Right at this point I am out of ideas and I can not duplicate it here and I have tried it on 5 macs now with both 10.4.11 and 10.5.5. I will do more checking and see if I can find something else to help.
