Hi there, I'm brand new to the Mac world and fast becoming a convert. I can get around alright, but am far from savvy with either a PC or (let alone) a Mac.

So, I was wondering if someone out there could help me. I've got about a bajillion links in my "favorites" folder on my PC that I copied over to my Macbook and tried to incorporate into the "Bookmarks", but with no success. Is there any way to convert the files to make the bookmark-compatible or do I just need to go through each one individually and save them as such?

Any and all advice would be most welcome...thanks!

I'm not sure...how do I do that? I just copied the folder with all of the favorites in it from the PC and pasted them on the Mac. (I imagine this makes my ignorance quite clear!)

I'm assuming you used Internet Explorer on your PC. What you need to do is install Firefox on your PC, import the favorites from Internet Explorer, then export the bookmarks from Firefox to a file. You can then use this file to transfer the bookmarks to either Safari or Firefox on your Mac.
