Hi, I'm just wondering if the 2.4GHz imac with 1GB of ram will be slow..or fast. I could upgrade but would I just get a 1GB DDr2 stick or do I need to chuck the origanal (Eg 2X 512's)

Thanks mac-forums

RAM will not of itself increase your iMac's operating speed, that's the job of the processor. Maximum RAM will however improve the iMac's efficiency, and that will show in smoother operation, possibly a slight increase in speed, depending on the demand of whatever applications/processes you have operating.
