Iphoto q's (Jpgs from emails?)

I can't put photos from emails into Iphoto at all.
They seem to come up as links rather than as documents.
I tried importing but it doesn't seem to work.
Images import from camera just fine, but not from other sources.

Any info you have about this would be useful.

Have you tried drag the image from the e-mail to the desktop and then importing it into iPhoto?

or click save all to save attached images to your mac, select where, then use Imprt in iphoto.

tried that it didn't work. I can't even open pics once they are on the desktop. ahhhh!
