Hello,
I have a PowerBook G4 1Ghz and I am looking to add eSata. Firmtek's SeriTek/1SM2 seems to be my only option.
Iogear's GPS702/GPS702W6 is an eSata cardbus, except mac isn't listed under requirements. When asking the technical support over Live Chat about compatibility, I was told it wouldn't work because it doesn't have the driver.
I'm no computer genius, but no novice at using my machine or peripherals either, but I just don't see why the Iogear cardbus won't work with my machine. For the more technically savvy, could you tell me whether it's possible or not?
The Firmtek is $90 everywhere online I look, but the Iogear I can get as cheap as $27.50 from B&H Photo Video. Anyone have experience with this? Maybe there are other cardbus options?
Any information is appreciated and thank you in advance.
