Sorry if this has been mentioned elsewhere, but I could not find any reference to it.
When downloading HD TV material using iTunes 8, one automatically received the Standard def version as a seperate file. Since the introduction of 8.0.1, I noticed last night that you now get a combined SD/HD version. This allows you to copy it to iPhones/ iPods but plays in HD on the computer. So far seems to work quite well and eliminates duplicates.
