I transferred some files from a Windows PC, but now I can't delete them.

I move them to trash and I hear the sound, but when I open Trash they are not there; they are still in the original location.

Can anyone help me?

How did you transfer the files from the Win PC? If you used LAN, you will need to leave the Win machine hooked in to successfully delete the files.

Did you check out this link?
Sorry, I did, but still no luck.

I ended up moving the entire folder and copying the pictures I wanted to keep to another folder from trash.

Than, I held the option button down while hitting the delete button. It worked.

Thanks guys! :)

Same problem

Bummer, same problem here ->

Moved "My Pictures" from WinXP into Corsair Voyager 4GB. Now I'm in Leopard w/ the flash drive plugged in, can't delete the folder w/ an admin acct:
sudo rm -rf [folder]

Permission level is fine (777), so I'm feeling pretty dumb now. I'm going to boot into Windows to trash the folder now, although I wish I could've done it somehow in OS X.

If anybody has encountered the same kind of problem please post here, thanks.

Shawn
