So OS 10.5 found my file server. It is listed in Finder under Shared. However when I try to connect to it with Samba username and password, it tells me "Sorry, you entered an invalid username and password."

I can connect fine from my Windows box. Any suggestions? I believe my smb.conf file is set for encrypted passwords.

Ideas?
Thanks.

You may need to enter either the domain or server name before the username to correctly find it.

If its a Windows 2003 server, you may need to turn off SMB signing to allow non-Windows machines to access shares. See Local Policy console.

Actually, it turns out I was using the wrong password. Whoops! So I think it is working now.
Thanks!
