Powerbook G4:airport card issue!

hey guys

I have bought a powerbook g4 ti second hand(obviously) for photography purposes and animation..

everything works and is great,however..for some reason i cant connect to the internet wirless or ethernet hardwired..

for some reason when i click connect,it trys to connect,then simply says connection failed..

i have tried to connect on my other laptop and it connects right away

anything i should do before connecting or i should know? why could this be?
