Strange graphical glitch in Dock.

I have a strange graphical problem in my 2D dock. I have attached a picture so you can see what I mean.

This is on an iMac G4, 1 ghz, 1 gb RAM, 32 MB Geforce FX4, 10.5.5, all updates installed.

I have tried repairing permissions and replacing the dock resources, and the problem persists. Sometimes it is much more noticeable and even changes colors from orange to red. Very bizarre, and while it does not effect functionality, it's a bit annoying. Any ideas?

Where is the problem? You aren't talking about the dashed lines are you? That is supposed to be there.

No, I guess it is kind of hard to see. If you look to the top right of the Dock, there is what looks like a transparent grey bar which gradually fades out as you look to the left. It ends just before the curve on the top right.

After killall Dock, it is even more noticeable now.
