it's ok to leave the ipod on the dock, while it's connected to my computer. even though it's saying do not disconnected the entire time. right?

or should i stick to the charger. it's just annoying to switch from the ac adapter to the dock which is connected to my computer everytime i'm finished uploading songs and just want to charge

If you have the most current 3rd or 4th gen firmware you can just eject the iPod by dragging its desktop icon to the garbage and leave it to charge in the dock or play songs whilst it is in the dock.

It's not a bad idea to eject as the harddrive tends to costantly spin whilst showing the 'do not disconnect' screen, which might cause its lifetime to decrease...
