Ive cleared all my music from iTunes..Pls Help

Hi

Can anyone help me please?

I accidentally wiped all the music from my Mac (don't ask how but it has been deleted out the trash).

I have all the songs on my iPod but can't seem to transfer from this to my iTunes on my Mac.

Please can you tell me how I can do this. I am using iTunes 1.3 and Leopard all the latest versions / updates.
