I notice there is a small orange bar that says other.. What would this other consist of? thanks

It's just that other. programs,apps,firmware ...etc.

In the case that your iPhone is jailbroken, all the applications, files, and cydia folders are located there.

It couldn't be for apps.. There is a separate category for apps...

If the iPhone is Jailbroken, CYDIA/Installer applications are in the OTHER section.
