The Mac Book has been chipped

lol I'm sure a lot of you will laugh at me for this. My little cousin was trying to be helpful and was wrapping up my power cord unfortunately he dropped it on top of the open Mac Book Pro. The metal hit part of the plug caught a couple inches over from the trackpad and put a nice chip in it. Is there anyway to fix this? I mean it completely cosmetic. It's just the laptop is new and it's really irking me. Anyone have a solution?

Called Apple Store in Shady Side and they said cosmetic damage there would cost like $300. Any alternative?

DIY case placement I guess. Or glue the chip back on?

Is it the keyboard bit? Have a look here. Doing so will void any warranty you have though.

It's a gentle job more than a horribly complicated one really... If you don't feel confident looking at that guide then don't do it though.

Is there any way to just by that one piece of plastic or is it all connected?
