Hi everyone, I have a Mac Pro 2 x 2.66 GHz Dual-Core Intel with 5 GB 667 MHz DDR2 FB-DIMM Ram, running OS X 10.5.5. I'm using an NVIDIA GeForce 7300GT in slot 1 and a RadeonX1900 in slot 2. I have two monitors plugged into monitor port 1 and monitor port 2. I'm running the latest Final Cut Studio.
My question is, are these video cards working in tandem to output results from Motion and FCP, or is one controlling one monitor and the other controlling the other? If they are handling monitors individually, does it matter which monitor I'm displaying the video on, when I'm editing across two monitors?
Will my real time rendering/displaying be faster if I have the video preview on one monitor vs the other?
Or is there anything I can do to choose which card is doing the work, improve their working together or otherwise tweak settings?
Thank you!
