The snapshot isn't working.

I don't know if it's called the snapshot specifically, but it makes the sound when I use it. It is the Shift+Control+Option+4 thing that lets me take a screenshot for a specific area. I can access it, and it makes the sound, but I can't find the images on my computer. It usually saves to my desktop. What do I do for it to continue saving to my desktop?

its command - shift -4

brings up a crosshair you can drag, then saves the file to the desktop

its called grab,

cmd-shift-3 will take a whole screen screen shot, cmd-shift-4 will bring up crosshairs, and cmd-shift-4-space will take a screenshot of a whole window.
