Updating Firmware on Macbook

Hello all,

This is probably a stupid question but I can not find the firmware update for the Aiport Extreme built into my son's macbook.

Here is what I can give you for info:

Airport Extreme (0x168c, 0x87)
Firmware version 1.4.4

Is there a newer version of the firmware and where can I get it if there is one?

If a new firmware update is available for the Airport Extreme model he has, it will appear in the list of updates available for download.

Click on the Apple menu and select "Software Update". Firmware updates for Apple hardware are included with "Software Updates" directly from Apple.
