Ok, so I've got one macbook and one ibook both equipped with airport, and I also have a time capsule. The ibook replaced a computer we will call JOHN and JOHN had a tplink 9dbi antenna I used to connect it and the macbook to the internet. However, after upgrading JOHN to an ibook I have a wireless connection that is now out of reach, and an unused antenna. So basically I want to somehow use that antenna with my new mac products to regain internet access.

What do I need???

Thanks

can you attach the antenna to the wireless router?

Don't have anything other than what I said, so no router.

I'm assuming you're using the Time Capsule as a router...

How far away are you to be out of range? Can you pick up the connection with the iBook and share it with the MacBook? Would it not be easier to pick up another cheap router to use as a repeater? Or just a repeater in fact.

I would assume you could do that. A bit of a pain though.
