Which would be better for me??

I'm getting a new iMac since my old one doesn't suit my purpose of online games..

Warhammer Online running on Windows XP via bootcamp to be specific.


I'm not sure what would be better..

Intel Core 2 Extreme 2.8ghz
w/ ATI Radeon HD 2600 PRO 256 MB

or

Intel Core Duo 3.0ghz
w/ NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GS 512 MB


I don't care about graphics as long as the game runs flawlessly..

Which would be better????

Faster is always better. It also makes you less future proof. The second one you listed sounds a bit better that considering you missed '2' in Core Duo.

Dude if you got the money get the top of the line for sure!!! You may not need it now but you never know what you will do in the future nor do you know what the extra power might help run.....Bigger, faster, better regardless of need.... It's the american way!

The Core 2 Extreme is more expensive.

So I'm not sure what the difference is..
